Using inspiration drawn from rainy days spent in London, to the sunny shores of Brisbane, Elation was born.

Introducing Australia's answer to MOLOKO and CRAZY PENIS, ELATION, traveling between mellow groove and pumping electro beats. Their diverse and accessible catalogue of songs will take you from lounging around to jumping up and down, using a delicious blend of sounds. An eclectic five piece, ELATION are fronted by vocalist Elysia, whose melodic and souful vocals float tantalizingly on the banquet of sounds created by the talented band. Swirling keys, funky bass, tight drums all sewn up with a slice of dancefloor soul!

After 3 east coast tours of Australia in 2004, the year culminated in a live to air performance on JJJ radio and a week playing the groove program at the Woodford Festival, attended by over 150 000 people. Top this off with a stint on channel 9 30 MINUTE MAKEOVER & the release of this stellar debut EP SOLAR PLAYGROUND, which is already on the hitlist of tastemaker DJs and radio around Australia, and you have one hot and raring to go new aussie outfit!

The first single Let the Wind Blow was featured on the Association of Independent Record labels pop compilation CD to promote Australian talent to national media and the European music market at MIDEM resulting in a resounding amount of positive feedback from all corners of the globe. The second single DRIVING AWAY has been remixed by PHATS aka GLENN HUMPHRIES who is reknowned for his work with artists as varied as MARCIA HINES, RESIN DOGS, RENEE GEYER & JASON NEVINS. DRIVING AWAY is a catchy dance pop number of epic proportions sure to have radio's bouncing and listeners signing along! In fact you can already hear Elation on NOVA 1069 "BRSBORN UNSIGNED". With Australian airplay in the dance and pop genres, Elation's songs stand alone with memorable melodies in a recorded sense and the live show takes the group into another bracket altogether! Be sure to check them out at a show near you!

With the growing success of the debut EP, Elation's first album will be recorded in late 2005 with Australian Producer MAGOO whose credits include Regurgitator, Butterfingers and Powderfinger. Stay tuned for the long-player from the band soon to be a household name!
