Relax to the beautiful sounds of harp, flute and a hemp didgeridoo with the world's first hemp plastic CD. A tribute to the vision of creator, Paul Benhaim, this CD showcases his invention of hemp alternatives to petrochemical plastics. World-class musicians create lovely music for relaxation, yoga or meditation. The hemp didgeridoo used is made from hemp stone, another world-first. Hemp stone is a mouldable substance made from hemp and water, which contains no petrochemicals or resins and is 100% biodegradable. The CD tray is made from hemp plastic, while the CD insert is made from hemp tree-free paper.
As Paul says, plastics are not necesaily bad. In fact, plastic comes from the Greek plastikos, meaning able to be shaped. In modern times, most plastics are made from synthetic polymers, but polymers are also produced by plants and animals. Paul Benhaim is one of the visionaries leading the revival of hemp as one of our planet's most versatile, eco-sound materials.
