ARMEN FIRMAN - Your Name in My Skin

Your Name In My Skin is the debut EP from Melbourne indie/pop rockers, Armen Firman.  Mixed by Franc Tetaz (Gotye, Lior) with the production assistance of Wally DeBacker (Gotye), this remarkable recording provides a brief insight into one of Australia's up and coming indie bands.

Armen Firman are 5 Melbourne artists, united by a mutual love of alternative music. In just over 3 years Armen Firman have gained themselves a reputation as one of the most exciting bands to rise up out of the flooded Melbourne music scene. This reputation has been fuelled by flattering reviews in the media as well as a tight live performance that has seen them secure supports with the likes of Jebediah, Bertie Blackman, Sparkadia and British India to name a few.
 
The band spent the first half of 2008 writing, recording, and eventually mixing their debut EP with Franc Tetaz (Gotye, Lior). During this time the band befriended Wally DeBacker (Gotye) whose respect for their tunes led him into the studio with the fivesome to record their debut EP.  Helping to produce vocals on the moody Porch Dweller, Wally spent an entire day in the studio using his musical genius to help perfect an already impeccable sound. Wally also found time to sing backing vocals on the raucous opening track, Fall For You.

In between recording, the band competed in the highly publicized Garage 2 V competition, in which they were a Victorian finalist.  The band released the first single off the EP, the afore-mentioned Porch Dweller, which was dubbed Single Of The Week on iTunes Australasia as well as receiving rave reviews in multiple music publications.
Armed with a remarkable debut EP and a live show to match, its not hard to see why Armen Firman are the “Band to watch” (Music Network / FasterLouder) in 2008.
